Karen is able, if required to refer you to your GP for further investigation should the need arrive from the consultation to be seen within 48 hours and referred to a dermatologist.
Karen is also trained in STOP Domestic Abuse Portsmouth. The use of a medical wood lamp is used to detect skin abnormalities using UV light, which reveals skin conditions, not seen naked to the eye, dermatologists also use this tool, to diagnose skin complaints, this shows bacteria, fungi, or other skin complaints, like sunburn-induced aging, and the overall health of our skin cells.
The other side of my health is from my healthcare training. this covers being able to take observations, so your temperature, blood pressure, oxygen level saturations, and respiratory rates. I can perform ECGs to cardiac monitor output, and bladder scanning and currently training to take blood through a cannula. skin fold callipers, height and weight. as well as posture. peak flow meters, body mass index. I use the news scoring, which detects, how i need to escalate your care. my next area is to train as a nurse in some areas, to add to my expertise.
